| The Last Harvest The picture shows Galen Graff of Kinsley cutting his last wheat crop. Galen is my uncle and for 60 years he has harvested wheat with the "SUPER 92s" and earlier versions. I got to help him with harvest over the last 30 years off and on. This year I was privileged to be part of Uncle Galen's last harvest, along with my son Jarrett, proudly running Ole Red. This year's harvest included Galen, Jarrett, Galen's son David, Galen's wife Rosetta, and me. Many emotions arose and stirred during the "last harvest." Remembering family members we all shared past harvests with was both pleasant and bittersweet. Even those memorable moments of slugging combines were priceless memories. We probably all agree that most of those stories are best kept to ourselves, but each and every harvest can be considered overall "great times." Thanks for the memories. Eric Woofter |
